• Our image of Joss and Cleve features on the cover. It’s quite unusual to have a couple on the cover, I love it!

Cold, grey and heavy rain. This was the weather forecast the day of my fashion photo shoot for Queensland Wedding and Bride Magazine.

Our venue was the always gorgeous Sirromet Winery at Mount Cotton. I love the long grass on the property, it provided the perfect setting to show off beautiful gowns and stylish suits.

When I’m at the Laguna, I’m usually photographing a wedding. This time, it was transformed into our undercover base for makeup and wardrobe. With each gown and suit or gown change, we’d head back out into the paddocks for photos.

The overcast light was perfect, soft and gentle and ideal for bridal fashion. We were so lucky with the rain, yes there were a few sprinkles at times but it held off until the end of our shoot. It was cold but it could have been so much worse!!!

I thought I’d share a few images from behind the scenes. The images look fabulous in the magazine and of course on the cover!

For those who want to know technical details, my camera was my Canon EOS 5DMK3 with my 85mm 1.2L lens. Lighting was natural and available. We used reflectors as necessary.

Many thanks to Holly from The Glamour Bar, love your work! Sharyn, thanks for allowing the magazine to use Sirromet for the shoot. To Joss and Cleve from Vivien’s, it was a pleasure to meet you and work with you both. To my assistant Emma, cheers to you for all help. And to Stevie, I hope this issue of the magazine goes fabulously for you and everyone at Queensland Wedding and Bride.
