I photographed Sanja and Rob’s wedding recently, it was a fabulous day for everyone. Being a Macedonian wedding, there was lots of dancing, food and laughter! Hats off to everyone who danced all day (and night), such a display of endurance.

I thought I would share one of the Macedonian wedding day traditions, the “breaking of the bread” ceremony. This involves the two dads breaking a loaf of bread, the winner is the one with the bigger piece and predicts who will wear the pants in the family. Both dads were taking this very seriously and a lot of engineering was being performed beforehand to ensure their half of the bread was bigger! You be the judge, the expressions in these documentary photos tell who won!
