It was a St Stephen’s Cathedral wedding ceremony for Serena and Adrien. This magnificent cathedral has so much atmosphere and never fails to impress the moment you enter.
So why are we here celebrating with Serena and Adrien? According to them, “it’s all because two people fell in love.”
Their wedding day began preparing at their respective parents homes, Adrien with his groomsmen and family, Serena with her bridesmaids and family.
From the moment Serena and Adrien booked me to photograph their wedding, I was looking forward to their wedding day, I just knew that they would be a gorgeous couple to photograph, you can see why.
Everybody ready and looking fabulous, it was off in the Brisbane Saturday morning traffic to St Stephen’s Cathedral for the wedding ceremony. After 20 years of photographing weddings, St Stephen’s Cathedral remains a long time favourite wedding ceremony venue of mine. I have so many happy memories of couples I’ve photographed there. With Serena and Adrien’s wedding, add one more.
Weddings are so inspiring, seeing two people in love make promises to each other is vey moving. With Serena and Adrien standing before their family and friends, their wedding ceremony was a mix of excitement, nerves, touching moments and finally relief it was all over.
Balloons were launched as Serena and Adrien emerged from the Cathedral. Guests joined in the excitement greeting Brisbane’s newest married couple with hugs and kisses on the steps before a group photo.
With guests coming from everywhere, the family photos were really important. Most of my work is candid capturing the moments without people knowing. It’s also important to capture a more structured image of the family groups requested as these are the images mums have a place already reserved on the mantle piece for.
Family photos done, we left the Cathedral bound for our first photo location at Kangaroo Point. Time for Serena and Adrien and their bridal party to relax and enjoy the moment.
Sirromet Wines was our next destination as Serena and Adrien had chosen Lurleens for their wedding reception.
