Bridget and Michel had an absolutely gorgeous wedding, wow, what a fabulous day it was!
Michael and his groomsmen relaxed at New Farm, before getting ready to head to the church just up the road.
Meanwhile Bridget and the girls took up what looked like permanent residence at Quay West, this is a great hotel on Alice Street, especially if you have lots of people as their is plenty of space.
Flower girls were gorgeous, and Bridget’s DRESS!!! WOW!!! I love seeing the dress, sorry Michael, I get to see it before you do, I just love being a wedding photographer. Make up and hair finished, time to dress, and put it on for real. “Bridget is dressed by MXM Couture, Margaret and Michelle Williams are award wining artists…” and you can see why.
My groove on, photographing everyone was a delight. A delivery arrived, everyone was looking, what could it be? Roses, for me??? No, Bridget of course with a message “don’t be late”. Ha!
Time to head, my destination was a short 10 minute drive to Holy Spirit at Villiers Street New Farm.
I love this church, I have photographed so many weddings there over many years. Michael and the boys arrived, some quick photos, I could sense Michael just needed some time to get in the zone.
Guests mingled on the steps before entering, Michael and brother Adam took a moment in the front pew, getting in the zone.
My wedding days always run like clockwork, at 7 minutes till show time, I always make sure I am at the front of the church waiting for the bride to arrive, an eye on ALL vehicle entrances: why all the entrances, that is a funny story for another day.
My watch went past 3.10pm, so did everyone else’s… went past 3.15pm…. So did everyone else’s… approached 3.20pm…. People were turning around looking, murmuring…
Then Bridget is here in the biggest, longest stretch Chrysler 300C. Traffic… the driver laments. Showtime, lets roll. The girls climb the stairs, I scurry inside and the music starts…
