Sally and Cheyne’s wedding promised to be a hoot. My portrait with them was lots of fun, if you missed it, here is the link.

Do you know how to put ribbons on a bridal car? This is a task typically delegated to the guys, and they excelled. Chrysler 300C’s looking fine. Guys relaxing, cool, beer, all good. Off to the girls, Sally and her bridesmaids were preparing at the family home affectionately known as the “Party House”… seems like a great place to get ready for a wedding. Matching PJ’s, hair, makeup, all good here too. Sally and the girls all look gorgeous, time to head to the wedding.

The ceremony was at St Pius X at Salisbury, guests arrived and greeted Cheyne in the church. I could tell this wedding was going to be fabulous as there were so many people excited to be there.

Sally arrived 10 minutes late as she had promised and all was underway. Wedding ceremonies have so many lovely moments, Sally and Cheyne’s was no different.

As guests left the church, lots of excited hugs were exchanged. The family photos were fun, I had to stand on my ladder to keep a little taller than our taller family members. Something unusual, I had the pleasure of photographing 4 generations in the one photo; something of a rarity especially when the youngest is an adult.

A photo of the bridal party before we left to go to a basketball court for some photos. Sally and Cheyne are mad keen and skilled basketball players. I asked everyone to give me a basketball pose, and as you can see, an action pose was struck by everyone except Will, who is sitting on the grass. I asked Will what he was doing, his reply “I’m on the bench!” Laughter all round.

We had some gorgeous kids in the wedding full of smiles and laughs, thanks guys, I hope your parents kept their deal and spoiled you on the way home with yummy treats.

The reception was at the Brisbane Golf Club at Tennyson. Renovations have transformed the venue and it is a lovely environment for guests to relax. It didn’t take long for guests to be up and about mingling… with the lolly buffet! Don’t worry about chatting to the guests, if there is a lolly buffet to devour, it is the first thing to do at the reception. Everyone had an empty lolly box to fill, and so they did.

Speeches, laughs, Sally and Cheyne had a great reception with friends sand family. Sally said her wedding weekend was the best ever, our congrats to you both, see you in the studio after your honeymoon. Enjoy this preview of some of the photos!
