This is Part One of a wedding post you just have to see! Why I hear you say? It shares the story of Jodie and Peter’s wedding day on her parent’s farm on the Sunshine Coast.

The farm was the perfect location, plenty of space for the ceremony, room for guests to mingle over drinks and play games and a space for a great big marquee for the reception. In the months before the wedding, family and friends pitched in to ready the property for the wedding, all plans were put in place.

And then I woke up… on the morning of the wedding to the 6am news. A storm warning, threat of damaging hail, 100 km/h wind guests and torrential rain. Mmmm, my drive from home to the Sunshine Coast was in driving rain, what would it be like for the wedding…

It seems Jodie and Peter have a few credits with the weather gods because the rain stopped around 10am and the sky cleared, amazing, who would have thought the weather would be like this.

Peter had been staying 15 minutes from the farm on a property atop a montain, awesome views. Everyone was pretty relaxed chilling before it was time to get ready for the wedding.

The farm was a hive of activity, helpers had descended on the farm and the final touches were being done. Jodie and Peter wanted a very documentary feel to their wedding photography so I wandered around with my camera capturing the moments and the details. I just love this style of photography, capturing things without anyone knowing.

Time for the wedding, yes there were tears, and lots of laughter. During the ceremony, guests placed notes of best wishes and love in the timber chest. This is one cute couple who obviously love each other to bits. So do their families. After the wedding, there were lots of hugs, everyone was so excited to be there and congratulate Jodie and Peter.

A group photos of everyone, some family photos and then time to head down the road to some neighbouring paddocks.
