One of my favourite wedding images, this is from Jana & Michael’s wedding reception at The Long Apron. I just love this special moment, when I see it, I want to be at this reception.

Take a drive up the mountain to Maleny and Montville for a wonderful day out. Take in the scenery, enjoy a picnic. It’s usually so much cooler up on the mountain than down in Brisbane. While in Maleny, if you like cheese be sure to visit Colin James Fine Food, they have over 200 varieties to choose from. A road trip isn’t a road trip without a supply of sweets in the glovebox, Sweets on Maple will have you reminiscing fondly of your childhood with their Gobstopperrs, Choo Choo Bars and Rosy Apples.

Be careful though, the charms of Maleny and Montville can be so enticing you may just want to get married up there.

The Sunshine Coast hinterland is magical. Couples trek to Maleny and Montville to get engaged, marry and honeymoon. Montville holds a special place in my heart, my wife Karen and I celebrated our engagement with a week there.
