Piazza Navona, Rome Rome. Ancient city, a special place to visit whether you are an art lover, historian or foodie.

Traversing the shadows of the ancient, winding streets of the historic center of Rome, you suddenly arrive in front of the breathtaking magnificence of Piazza Navona, a place of spectacle and still today a spectacular open air show; an architectural miracle in the heart of Rome, filled with masterpieces in perfect harmony with each other.

This piazza, features the genius of Bernini and Borromini, is one of the finest Baroque Masterpiece in papal Rome.

In past centuries, acrobats and jugglers performed in Piazza Navona. Today, painters and street performers put on their shows for tourists and passersby while the restaurants try to commandeer hungry patrons.

I took this photo just after dusk at the end of a day investigating Rome with my camera. Piazza Navona is today’s “Photo of the Day”.
