As you would expect, I love photography, love photographing weddings and telling stories with photos. Here are some random facts you may not know about me:

  • I founded Reyment Photographics sixteen years ago. I left an established career in training and management consultancy to pursue my dream to be a photographer of people.
  • Photographing the precious moments of a wedding day is fabulous. I give my all and always go home exhausted.
  • On the morning of a wedding, I always cook one of my famous frittatas; it keeps me going all day.
  • I have worked with so many awesome people over the years. We have had a blast and learnt heaps from each other.
  • I am a Dad and a husband. My wife Karen keeps me sorted, my son Alex makes me so proud.
  • I lived in Europe with Karen and Alex throughout 2009, our family loves travel. We home exchanged for the whole year and loved the experiences, foods, people we met. I get all emotional when I think of the things we did.
  • I have images from my personal collection on our walls at home. They remind us of so many great moments and places we have been.
  • I use Canon camera gear, have done so for over 20 years.
  • I love to help people, share ideas and learn.
  • I am a V8 Supercars fan, I go for anything Holden.
  • Clint Eastwood and Robert de Niro are my favourite actors.
  • Our kitchen table is the centre of our home. It is here we share news of the day, laugh, cry, help each other.
  • I have been learning to cook more since living in Europe. I love fresh ingredients and keeping it simple. Masterchef is one of my favourite shows on the telly.
  • When I have my camera in my hand, I see moments others don’t. My images tell stories about people and life. Knowing that those who view my work are moved by my images is humbling.
  • My photography style is largely documentary and photojournalistic. Famous French photographers like Robert Doisneau, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Australia’s own David Oliver have inspired the development of my style. I was once in Milan at a Robert Doisneau exhibition. Seeing originals of his images that I had only seen in books brought tears to my eyes.
  • Australian wedding photographers are regarded as some of the best in the world. I have learnt so much through the AIPP from other fabulous photographers, many  I am proud to call my friends. Receiving my Master of Photography was a proud moment, as has winning so many awards over the years.
