We’re on our way to the Emporium Hotel for Caitlin and Michael’s wedding reception. It’s been a magnificent day so far, now time for everyone to relax and celebrate with them after their wedding ceremony at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Villiers Street, New Farm.
Our first stop is a gorgeous little street in New Farm with magnificent canopy over the road. Time for everyone in the bridal party to chill and catch up on what’s happened so far.
Our next stop is Kangaroo Point, we head down Thornton Street to the boardwalk along the Brisbane river, This spot offers fabulous views of the Brisbane CBD. Almost everyone has a smart phone these days, out come the phone cameras for that instant upload to Facebook.
Our final stop before joining guests at the wedding reception is a tiny little spot in the Valley with a funky graphic wall. What captions would you suggest for these images?

Ps, I have a special award to hand out, it’s “Our Most Organised Bride Ever” award. There is one most deserving recipient and it goes to…Caitlin!
Those who were there witnessed something special. What a day! Caitlin and Michael’s wedding day was amazing. Guests joined them for their ceremony at the iconic Holy Spirit Catholic Church, New Farm. I’m getting ahead of myself though. Their wedding day story began well before the ceremony.
Michael and his groomsmen relaxed (can grooms really relax before their wedding?) at his parent’s home. This was where Michael grew up so the walls were a trip down memory lane. Mum’s lasagne was a special request the night before.
Caitlin and her bridesmaids prepared at the Emporium Hotel. I arrived and found everyone calm and relaxed. Perhaps it had something to do with Caitlin being THE most organised bride EVER! As you can see in the photos, Caitlin and her bridesmaids looked absolutely gorgeous.
With guest arriving at the church and the ceremony drawing closer, you could tell Michael was getting just that little bit nervous. When everyone was in place, the church doors were closed to mask Caitlin’s arrival.
It was a touching ceremony, yes there were tears and laughter. After the wedding, Caitlin and Michael mingled with their guests, receiving lots of excited hugs and kisses.
It’s important to photograph the families at a wedding. When was the last time everyone was dressed up, looking fabulous and all together? The Holy Spirit Church has plenty of space for family photos, I love the grassy area with warming afternoon light streaming through.
So the ceremony is done, check! Time to breathe. We’re about to leave the church and head off to the bridal party photo shoot before arriving at the Emporium Hotel for the wedding reception.
All is going magnificently so far, a big congrats to Caitlin and Michael, you guys rock!
