It was a postcard perfect Brisbane winter’s day for Kim & Roger’s wedding, not a cloud in the sky, warm sun, love is in the air today…
I met Roger and his groomsmen at Siana Bar & Restaurant as they relaxed in the morning sunshine with a cold beer overlooking the Brisbane river.
I walked past the Brisbane Polo Club on my way to meet the girls at the Stamford Hotel. I wondered what was going on inside as they prepared for Kim & Roger’s wedding reception later on tonight.
Waterfront Place is an iconic Brisbane CBD building dominating the skyscape. Merlo Coffee is just across the road.
Kim chose The Powder Room for her hair and make-up. Thanks girls!

The Stamford Hotel in Brisbane is a very popular venue for brides and grooms, Kim prepared here before heading off to the ceremony at Ann Street Presbyterian Church.

Final ceremony preparations at Ann Street Presbyterian Church. These days, the church is surrounded by tall modern buildings, take the staircase up to the church and you will be rewarded by a trip back in time. Built in 1871, the church features beautiful timbers that depict craftsmanship of a time long ago. I wonder who has held these hymn books, imagine the stories they could tell.
Show time is approaching, meeting and greeting wedding guests and laughs with old mates…
