Real Weddings: Wedding Details for Inspiration (Part 1)

As a Brisbane based wedding photographer, I see and photograph all the little details my brides and grooms choose for their wedding. Things like wedding flowers, fragrances, wedding jewelery, bridal shoes, wedding cakes, reception table decorations, engagement rings, wedding rings, wedding invitations, reception menus and of course wedding dresses.

Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers, a Perfect Backdrop for a Wedding

Did you know that this Friday the 17th September, the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers gets underway again. For 61 years, celebrating all things spring, it is Australia’s longest running floral event, a celebration of flowers, food, wine, culture and entertainment.

Last Saturday, I was honoured to photograph John and Kate’s wedding in Cambooya, about half an hour’s drive from Toowoomba. These images were taken late in the day in Queen’s Park, a wonderful place to relax.

To everyone visiting Toowoomba this weekend for the Carnival of Flowers, enjoy your day in one of the most beautiful places to be this spring.
