August. Brisbane. Westerly winds. The Ekka. Add to that list of Brisbane iconic things the wedding of Kate and Michael.
The atmosphere was electric, this is a couple that were surrounded by friends and family that love them. Photographing their wedding day was so much fun, it was the last day of the Ekka so we cruised Sideshow Alley for a while before heading off to the wedding reception at Victoria Park Golf Complex.
Dagwood dogs, fairy floss, rides, Michael “scored” bigtime in Sideshow Alley, one of his shots went in the basket and he won a massive “Bundy Bear” as a new companion. Needless to say “Bundy Bear” made it onto the dance floor later that night.
Here are a few of the photos from their wedding day, we are working on the rest while Kate and Michael are enjoying their honeymoon, I promise, more will follow soon!
Michael and his mates chilled in Queen Street.
…as Kate and her bridesmaids prepared at Oaks Aurora at the other end of Queen Street.
Kate, meet Michael!
Show time at St Stephen’s Cathedral…
St Stephen’s Cathedral wedding ceremonies, what a sense of occasion.
Where’s Wally?
Can you caption this?
I see nothing!
Michael scores a basket, and wins a giant fluffy Bundy Bear! (And my timing was perfect). High 5’s all round!
Fairy floss, hot chips and dagwood dogs, perfect Ekka junk food!
Everyone loves a slippery side, it’s just that the dismount at the end has a high degree of difficulty!
So that’s the end of this Mini Post, I will post more photos real soon so do check back, there are so many stories to tell and moments to share!
