Brisbane residents shivered today, it got to just a little over 12 degrees. My Moodle (Maltese/Poodle cross) Bud  had a clip earlier this week and he stayed in bed today! After his clip, we got him a little woolen jacket to keep him warm but there is nothing toastier than our bed to keep warm.

How did I keep warm today? I got the scarf out, what a difference! Two pairs of socks too… a lady I met at a market while living in Lyon told me that trick. She said she goes to the snow regularly and two pairs of socks is the ticket, your feet don’t sweat then get cold.

The photos above are from Brussels when we were there in December 2009. We were told there would be no snow in December. Remarkably, it snowed heaps, it was our son’s first real go at the powdered stuff, what an experience. My morning walk with camera one day took in a local park, I was walking down embankments covered in snow, I’m sure I was walking over snow covered shrubs, how I wished I had boots with better grip.

This morning, I asked my Bud would he like to go for a walk “in the snow”. He rolled his eyes and curled into a tighter ball, I took that as a no. What a sook, If we lived in Brussels, he would have to learn to have fun in the snow like these Belgian dogs.

More cold weather is promised for tomorrow, stay tuned for some more cold weather images form my personal collection.
