Photography, what a passion it is. It is something I have been learning all my life. Yes, that’s right, I reckon I ‘m still learning. That’s the beauty of photography, there is always something to learn.

So have you been bitten by the photography bug? Perhaps you have bought a shiny new Nikon or Canon digital SLR recently and are now a bit bewildered by all the buttons, functions and jargon. I often see guests at weddings with new SLR’s clicking away hoping they will get great photos because they have the latest Canon or Nikon. A quick look over their shoulder reveals the truth…. The camera is set on the dreaded “green square” fully auto mode. Now this might deliver a nice image but it is a bit like having a good chef prepare you a microwave dinner, you have no control of what is going on.

Christmas holidays are coming up so now is the perfect time to learn how to use your camera, don’t leave it till you get on the plane for the trip of a lifetime. Imagine coming home with beautiful images of your travels…

On Sunday the 30th October, I am running a hands-on photography workshop for digital SLR users, after my workshop, not only will the photography bug have bitten you again, you will be able to use some of the award winning photography techniques I use when creating images.

Only 12 people can attend the workshop so get in quick to register.

Full details on the workshop are here.
