You know something, it’s been ages since I’ve photograph amy own dog Bud. Sure I’ve grabbed a few shots with my iPhone when he is looking cute which is all the time really! But I haven’t actually done a proper photo shoot with him using my real camera like I do for the families that commission me to photograph their dog.

Bud’s a Moodle (Maltese/Poodle) and simply adorable. When I’m home alone and Bud is out with the rest of the family, it’s just so quiet. When he’s home, he doesn’t say much yet he does! His expressions are just priceless, turning his head from side to side as you speak, his non verbvals shout volumes.

Does anyone know how many words a dog can understand? It must be heaps, they seem to understand everything we say to them.

Bud’s just had a clip in the last week or so, today he looks a bit like a lamb that’s just been shawn. I’ll take some shots of you sson mate, I promise, I’m just waiting for your coat to grow a bit.

Bud is nearly 7 now so he’s quite the mature gent.  That’s 7 fabulous years he’s been part of our family, how slack have I been not to photograph him!

This got me thinking, if you are like me and have a fury BFF in your family, how long if ever has its been since you have had a family portrait with your adorable pooch?
