It’s wet outside today; constant rain this morning, more storms forecast tonight, what a week it has been. It has been a week of sticky humid nights, mid night storms, pelting rain, soggy ground but you expect this in late February in a tropical city like Brisbane.

Can you take wedding photographs in the rain? Of course. The cloud acts as a massive diffuser and provides the most beautiful soft light. Umbrellas are good too, keeping things as dry as possible. It’s rare that it rains all day.  Wet weather is another prop to use and adds more variety to your photos. There is a certain amount of commonsense needed, it is important to make sure that the bride and groom, bridal party and guests don’t get too wet, after all, there is a wedding reception to go to!
