This weekend, it is the annual Canon Australian Institute of Professional Photography Awards (APPA’s) in Sydney. The APPA’s are the most prestigious photography awards in Australia. Given the high regard the international photography community has for Aussie photographers, winning awards at the APPA’s is a major achievement.

Like all fellow entrants, I’m excited to find out the results for my images, my fingers and everything else is crossed!

You can only enter 4 photographs. The image above came close but did not make my cut. It is an image I captured while in Ireland, the view is over the back fence of the house we were living in. While this image will never be judged, I’m excited to have it as part of my personal collection.
