Congratulations Jodie and Trevor, what a brilliant day your wedding day was. I was really looking forward to photographing Jodie and Trevor’s wedding after meeting them and photographing their engagement shoot. The wedding day began with Trevor enjoying a quiet drink with some mates before getting ready while Jodie and her family perpared at home.

Time to head to the Church, All Saints’ Wickham Terrace was our destination. For the historians, did you know that the present church is the oldest existing Anglican Church in Brisbane and was opened for worship in 1869, replacing an earlier structure of 1862. Its style is nineteenth century gothic revival, with buttressed walls of rough faced rubble, porphyry and sandstone, and a metal clad roof. The interior has a fine example of a hammer-beam roof, which is rare in Australia.

The ceremony was beautiful witnedded by close family and friends. Afterwards, Trevor and Jodie received lots of hugs and kises from everyone.  Noisiest people among the crowd were definitely Jodie’s old school friends.

Time for bridal party photos, we went for a wander down near the river near Customs House and the Story Bridge before heading up to Queens Park in front of the Conrad Treasury Hotel.  Great locations and images.  We gots lots of cheers as a hens night went past aboard the “Hire Engine”. The photos were so much fun, attendants Gary and Stacey helped make it all so much fun. Gary, thanks for tossing the veil, you do it with such style!

The Conrad Treasury Hotel offers a unique experience for guests in Brisbane. A traditional structure, it is so different to the modern anonymous hotels around. Guests enjoyed drinks in the Surveyor’s Room before joining Trevor and Jodie in the Map Room for the reception.  Suelin the Conrad’s Wedding and Functions Executive ensured The Map Room looked fabulous ready for guests. Weddings at the Conrad Treasury Hotel are always a wonderful experience for all.

Jodie and Trevor, thanks for having me as your photographer, have a wonderful honeymoon  and I will see you in the studio real soon to show you the rest of your photos.
