An army of volunteers descended on Turner Avenue Fairfield on “Clean-Up Saturday”. I was one of them helping friends Sal and Pat salvage something from the Queensland floods of 2011.
While working, I managed to grab a few images of the destruction and clean up activity, here is Part One of images of the Community of Brisbane coming together to help those in need.

We live just around the corner from the Turner ave photos…in Crutchley st., we got flooded too but not as badly as Turner ave…we got 1m of water thru the place….
Louise says there is to be a T&D re-union soon….Ken Wano is organising this…I am sure they will track you down
