It was an Ocean View Estates Vineyard Winery wedding day for Mark & Samantha. What a pleasure it was to be their wedding photographer and capture precious wedding day moments for them.
Their day was a little different to traditional wedding day fare. They wanted their ceremony to be late in the day so they could spend as much time as possible with their guests. No worries, we organised their day to do the bridal party photos before the ceremony, this way they could join their guests for their wedding reception straight after the wedding.
Most couples prefer the more traditional approach where the first glimpse of the bride is as she walks down the aisle. Over the years, I’ve found those that meet before the wedding are much more relaxed at the ceremony and remember more as they can truly be in the moment.
Sam arrived with bridesmaids and family at Ocean View Estates Vineyard & Winery, hair and makeup done offsite. Mark and the guys weren’t far behind.
Time to dress and prep for the “big reveal”. Big reveal? Absolutely! You see when a bride walks doe the aisle, I’m sure her groom wants to give her a cuddle and tell her how gorgeous she looks and how much he loves her. This can’t happen usually as they are right in the middle of their wedding ceremony.
When we meet for photos before the wedding, I organise a time and place for the big reveal. This way, the bride and groom can go “wow” and enjoy the moment. It’s a great time for the bridal party to get together too. From here we have fun together on the bridal party photo shoot before going our separate ways, groom to the ceremony to greet guests and wait for his bride to arrive, bride to freshen up before arriving at the ceremony.
The way Mark looked at Sam, wow! This couple are absolutely gorgeous. We had heaps of fun photographing around the property at Ocean View Estates Vineyard, so many country wedding photo ops.
Mark and Sam’s wedding ceremony was filled with laughs, a few tears and lots of love. Hugs too! Congrats to you guys!
